The last cable connects the AC power brick to your AC outlet. Another cable connects the Dock to the AC power brick. One cable goes connects the Dock to the Surface Pro 4. Opening up Surface Dock box reveals a large AC power brick and 3 long cables. I purchased the Surface Dock together with the Surface Pro 4 at the Microsoft Store in the Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, California.
